    D2Companion v0.1.2 Beta

    This beta update focuses on live capture reliability, account roster handling, expiration tracking, UI refresh behavior, and Equipment workflow polish.

    What's New and Fixed

    • Added character-screen roster capture support.

      • D2Companion can capture roster data from the character selection flow.
      • When account context becomes available, it can backfill the account roster instead of only showing the character that joined a game.

    • Improved character expiration tracking.

      • Trusted server roster hours are used when available.
      • Joining a game with your own character can refresh that character's expiration deadline to about 90 days.
      • Characters without trusted expiration data may still show Unknown.

    • Improved live status transitions.

      • The status rail now better reflects Connecting to Battle.net, Character Selection, Lobby, and In Game states.
      • In-game display still shows game/character context and timer when available.

    • Improved Accounts, Observed, and Equipment refresh behavior.

      • Dashboard sections refresh more selectively when live data changes.
      • Unrelated observed-player updates should no longer disrupt the current My Gear view.
      • Gear Viewer selection is less likely to jump away from the explicitly selected character.

    • Added realm grouping to the Equipment selector.

      • Accounts are grouped by realm.
      • Same account names on different realms are easier to tell apart.
      • Favorite ordering remains easier to scan.

    • Fixed tooltip and panel polish.

      • Opening Cube or Mercenary panels clears stale hover tooltips correctly.
      • Existing item hover behavior is preserved.

    • Fixed sample/demo catalog display.

      • Sample characters use the expected realm fallback so demo gear displays properly again.

    • Improved release log cleanup.

      • Normal release folders should no longer accumulate huge logs/debug dumps over time.

    Requirements

    • Windows x64.
    • Diablo II Lord of Destruction 1.14d.
    • Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime may be required.
    • Proxifier or an equivalent per-application SOCKS5 proxy tool is needed only for optional live capture.
    • Node.js is bundled in the official Windows zip for Styx live capture.

    Install

    Download D2Companion-0.1.2-beta-win-x64.zip, extract it to a normal folder, and run D2Companion.exe.

    Existing users can replace the old extracted app files with the new zip contents. Local data remains local.

    For MuleLogger data, re-import the same source if older imported metadata looks stale. For Styx live data, take a fresh live capture after updating.

    Known Beta Limitations

    • Trade Preview / TradeMaster is not implemented yet.
    • Chat Archive persistence is not implemented yet.
    • Logs console is not implemented yet.
    • Settings page is not implemented yet.
    • Account roster backfill may complete after the first same-realm live capture update when the account name was not available at character selection.
    • Some older data may need a fresh Styx snapshot or MuleLogger re-import.

    D2Companion v0.1.1 Beta

    This is a bugfix beta update for D2Companion.

    Existing users should download the new Windows zip, extract it, and replace
    their old app files with the new package. Your local data remains local in the
    folder where you run the app.

    What's Fixed

    • Fixed realm detection, including USWest.
    • Fixed same account names on different realms being kept separate.
    • Fixed Hardcore / Softcore and Ladder / Non-Ladder metadata display.
    • Fixed naked zero-item characters not appearing in My Accounts.
    • Fixed impossible observed player levels such as 0 or huge invalid values.
    • Fixed item name issues:
      • Exile
      • of Decrepify
      • Armageddon Slippers
    • Fixed Mercenary controls appearing when no mercenary was actually captured.
    • Fixed Gear Viewer selection jumping back to the startup/live character after
      opening a character from the dashboard.
    • Added dynamic refresh polish for Accounts, Observed Players, and the Gear
      Viewer account selector.
    • Improved Equipment selector favorite ordering.
    • From Observed Gear, clicking Accounts now opens Observed Accounts.

    • Bundled Node is included in the official Windows zip.

    Normal users do not need the .NET SDK, .NET Runtime, Node.js, or npm for the
    official Windows zip.

    Refresh Guidance

    • MuleLogger data: re-import the same MuleLogger source if old item names,
      sprites, or metadata look stale.
    • Styx data: take a fresh live snapshot after installing the new version.
    • Old canonical item name/color data: only if needed, run recanonicalize from
      the local app/debug endpoint:

    D2Companion v0.1.0 Beta

    First public beta release of D2Companion.

    D2Companion is a Windows companion app for Diablo II: Lord of Destruction 1.14d. It helps track accounts, inspect gear, import MuleLogger snapshots, and optionally capture live game data through Styx.

    Installation

    1. Download D2Companion-0.1.0-beta-win-x64.zip.

    3. Run D2Companion.exe.

    For live capture, start D2Companion/Styx first, then configure Proxifier to route Diablo II Game.exe TCP traffic through SOCKS5 127.0.0.1:20676.

    Notes

    This is a beta release. Planned features such as Trade Preview, Chat Archive persistence, Logs console, Settings, and outgoing in-game chat are not implemented yet.
